I’m very much a beginner photographer, recently using a point-and-shoot Canon camera. I made the switch to DSLR in early December 2008 and am currently using:
Nikon D80
18-55 VR
70-300 VR
50 mm f1.8
Manfrotto tripod with ball-and-socket head
Circular polarizer
3 stop Neutral density filter
UV filter
I hope the above equipment is adequate to “learn” DSLR photography with. Currently my next purchase will be the 10-20 mm Sigma lens to cover wide angle photography.
